Temple City Kids Can Get a Letter From Santa
City Hall has established a direct link with the North Pole
TEMPLE CITY, CA (Nov. 28, 2018)—Thanks to a new partnership between the City of Temple City and the North Pole, Santa Claus himself has promised to take time out of his busy schedule to answer the letters of local youth.
A special mailbox has been set up in the lobby of City Hall, 9701 Las Tunas Dr., which will get kids' letters whisked straight to Santa's workshop. And he's promised to do his best to respond to each one with a personalized letter of his own.
The new tradition is open to all Temple City children between 2 and 10 years old. They're encouraged to write their own letters, although parents can help the younger ones.
Naturally, Santa wants to know one or two things they want for Christmas. He would also like kids to tell him two nice things that they've done this year.
To make letter writing easier, Santa encourages children to use the downloadable form available at www.templecity.us/santa.
In addition to dropping off letters at City Hall during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, kids can also deliver them to the city information booth at the Lights on Temple City event on Dec. 7.
In order for Santa to write back a personalized response, each letter must include the child's first and last name, age and mailing address.
Letters must be received by Dec. 14. Santa will begin mailing out responses on Dec. 5 and expects to be finished by Dec. 21 so he can get to work packing his sleigh.
