Mayor Man to Deliver State of the City Address
Presentation to address current plans and developments ahead
TEMPLE CITY, CA (Feb. 18, 2019)—Temple City Mayor William Man will discuss how the city is building its future in the annual State of the City address on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Open to the public, the event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception at Temple City Park, followed by the Mayor’s presentation at 7 p.m. in the nearby Council Chambers, located at 5938 Kauffman Ave.
Entitled “Building Our Future,” Mayor Man’s speech will touch upon the past, present and future of Temple City.
“To address the issues our community faces in the years to come, it requires a sense of purpose, vision and planning,” the Mayor said. “This year’s State of the City address will highlight some key projects that the City has (completed) and will undertake to address opportunities and challenges.”
The Mayor’s speech will touch upon nine major initiatives including private-sector redevelopment plans near Rosemead Boulevard and Las Tunas Drive; a soon-to-be-constructed public park on Primrose Avenue; enhanced community awareness through the use of social media and other digital means; and recent public safety efforts that have reduced property crimes by 22 percent over the past year.
“In order to succeed, Temple Citians can only build a bright future if we work together as one city, one community,” Man said. “I know the community is up to the challenge.”
This year’s State of the City address will broadcast live at www.templecity.us.
