 Rocket League through GGLeagues

The City is excited to announce the start of the Esports Rocket League through GGLeagues. This opportunity welcomes youth 10-18 years of all skills levels to participate in California Cities 3 vs 3 & 1 vs 1 competition this summer. The City will sponsor the first four teams that complete registration through GGLeagues.

Rocket League is a 3 vs. 3 and 1 vs. 1 video soccer game held in a virtual arena featuring rocket-powered cars playing in a challenging, fast-paced soccer contest with elements of a demolition derby. GGLeagues is an esports management platform that is built for creating social experiences that is built for tracking scores and creating the tournament for players. Participants must form a team of 3 or solo. This is a five-week program with six weeks of regular season and will conclude on the seventh week with championships.

Registration Instructions & Links:

  • Registration will take place from May 25-July 15, 2020.
  • If you do not already have the Rocket League game, you must purchase the Rocket League game on PC, XBox, PS4, or Nintendo Switch and have access to play online. Price of the game varies from $15-$30 dependant on the gaming platform used.

  • League Fee - $10 per player/$30 per team payable to GGLeagues.  
  • All transactions will be completed through the GGLeagues website.

Game Schedule:                                                                Rocket League Image

  • 1 vs. 1 Saturday, July 25, 12-1pm (PDT) & will continue for a total of 5 consecutive weeks.
  • 3 vs. 3 Saturday, July 25, 1-2pm (PDT) & will continue for a total of 5 consecutive weeks.


One day playoff bracket, 1 v 1 starts at 12:00 pm and the 3 v 3 starts at 1:00 pm and both run until finished (roughly 2 hours)
