June 30, 2020  I  Crackdown on Illegal Fireworks
With the holiday weekend coming up, this is a reminder that illegal fireworks will not be tolerated in the city, and those caught may be fined between $1,000 and $5,000. "Safe and sane" fireworks may be ignited between noon and 10 p.m. on July 4. More info:

Register now for our NEW Virtual Summer Day Camp! Children ages 5-14 can enjoy arts and crafts, sports, virtual excursions, and even make s’mores all from the living room! Weekly sessions begin July 6 through August 21. Registration is $35 a week, which includes camp supply materials. More info:

LA County officials have announced that nail salons, bars and other businesses can reopen today, as long as they implement infection control protocols: This comes on the heels of Governor Newsom’s announcement yesterday that requires all Californians to wear face mask coverings while in public or in high-risk settings:

June 18, 2020  I  Economic Relief Grants
Applications open today for our economic relief grant program, intended to provide 30 small businesses with up to $10,000 and 71 households with $3,000 in rental assistance. The grants, which do not have to be paid back, are available to those who meet federal income guidelines and can demonstrate negative impacts by COVID-19. To learn more:

Up for Council consideration tonight are two proposals that will bring economic relief to TC residents and businesses affected by COVID-19. June 11, 2020  I  LA County Moves to Reopen Key Sectors
LA County officials are allowing gyms, day camps and other places to reopen with modifications as early as tomorrow, June 12. Learn more:

Nail salons, tattoo shops, bars, theaters, concert halls, gaming facilities and theme parks are still closed countywide. Despite lifted restrictions, parties, gatherings and the mixing of households are still prohibited.
