[ARCHIVED] State of the City Address Set for Jan. 26

The City of Temple City invites community members to the annual State of the City Address on Monday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers (5938 Kauffman Ave.). Mayor Carl Blum will update audiences on City Hall’s recent progress as well as upcoming plans for the future.

Highlights from the past several years have included adoption of a strategic plan, completion of the Rosemead Boulevard Safety Enhancements and Beautification Project, ongoing citizen engagement efforts, as well as the launch of the new City website.

“As we look ahead, recent activities have been focused on building a solid foundation for our community’s future,” said Blum. “We’ve invested in sustainable infrastructure, new technology and long-range planning. Now we have new bike lanes, more pedestrian friendly streets, a new City website, and a strategic plan to guide our future. What I’m most proud of is that we’ve involved the community every step of the way.”

For community members unable to attend, the State of the City Address will stream live at, with the original broadcast also available for replay online and on Charter Channel 3 by the following evening.
